We’re recovering from Swine flu.

Posted on August 10, 2009. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: , |

Well, I’ve had worse flu. But I have never had tonsillitis ( secondary) before. On Saturday morning it was so bad I couldn’t even swallow my own saliva for about 12 hours and I had to go to an emergency clinic – I looked so ill they didn’t make me wait more than 5 minutes [...]

Another parents evening over with…

Posted on March 18, 2009. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: |

And yet again another round of  ’she’s a pleasure to teach’ and ‘I wish they were all like her’, and neat exercise books filled with rows of green ticks and impossibly neat handwriting. No I’m not bragging, that’s just the way the girl is. Some of her poetry I’d be happy to see from a teenager.. [...]

No time for blogging..

Because my little angels have been hogging the computer this weekend.. why did we ever let the girl get into Everquest?
Also I’ve had a massive headache that’s put me off doing any in-depth thinking. I’ve been going over the E3b Y chromosomes newest names, what a palaver, I have to learn tham all over again, and [...]

So, the ylang ylang soap went well..

Posted on October 2, 2008. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: , |

It’s a nice light gold colour (small pureed carrot for colour). I over cooked it a bit, so it’s a touch mottled, but other wise great. Next time I think 1/2 an hour will be enough (at 50 C).
Michelle’s soap looked nice with the bubble wrap honeycomb effect on the top, I’ll have to try [...]

Finally back on line

Posted on September 17, 2008. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: |

I’ve been off line since Sunday evening, when an attempt to download new anti viral software fritzed up our senile old PC. We’ve now decided to get a new computer. The comments and emails have stacked up a bit. I think I’m definitely dependent on the internet now, I was pretty grouchy for the last [...]

Well it wasn’t a Nordic Egypt, but who says it was?

Posted on August 29, 2008. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: |

Yesterday someone commented on this blog that I’m biased because I don’t rip into white supremacists who claim a Nordic Egypt.
Not one person I know (I asked around) has ever seen a website or talked to anyone that believes that. In a year of chatting on line, I’ve not encountered even one person that believes [...]

Still don’t get the mad American attitude to race.

Posted on August 28, 2008. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: , , |

I have observed that criticising anything any black American doeswill instantly pull down a heap of crap upon your head, and you will then be told it’s all your own fault because ‘white people did something bad’. For any non American reading this, no, I’m not joking. Just daring to disagree brings a a real [...]

So, I headed over to Egyptsearch

Posted on August 21, 2008. Filed under: diary entry | Tags: |

It’s amazing how two different people can read the same thing differently. I read a DNA study that says ‘Ethiopians show about 40% Caucasian ancestry’, and I assume it means ‘Ethiopians have  about 40% Eurasian ancestry’. But according to the whacky crowd at Egyptsearch their ‘elongated’ Africans (Ethiopians) are all 100% of ancient African origin after [...]

Yet again, more hilarious hate mail.

Posted on August 17, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: |

The ‘faces of Egypt’ is getting spammed by some loser named Daryl at the moment. Its kind of funny to see them repeating the same bullshit time after time. They keep spouting about their ‘proof’ that the Egyptians were black, but a when you take the time to read their ’supporting’ documents, it’s turns out [...]

So, I thought a name was familiar.

On the comments of MAB. She’s a member of my paleo anthropology group. I knew I knew that name!
God this is a slow week. I’m feeling a bit crappy too, either the MS is playing up or I’ve got a bug (I’ve been sniffly) or I’ve finally developed type II diabetes… I’ll have to pick [...]
